Concentrated Extracts Are Here
NOW MORE POWERFUL IN CONCENTRATED EXTRACT FORM
Chinese herbalists have spent thousands of years developing and perfecting their herbal formulas in accordance with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The Chinese approach honors the interaction between the body’s systems. The result? Powerful herbal formulas that work to promote harmony in the body. Nature’s Sunshine’s Chinese herbal formulas are now available in a more pure and potent concentrated extract form, called TCM concentrates.

In NSP’s unique extraction process, the herbs are first combined in their proper proportions. The active constituents are drawn out and preserved, leaving behind any unwanted or unneeded parts. The entire herb formula is percolated at a temperature low enough to minimize evaporation and the breakdown of active constituents, but high enough to allow the synergistic interaction of herbs to occur. The result is an herbal extract formula that is pure and potent. In fact, each capsule of the extract is at least four times as potent as the regular herbal combination. This is different than Western philosophy, which concentrates individual herbs and later combines them.

Enjoy the benefits of Chinese herbal wisdom with NSP’s pure, powerful TCM concentrate herbal combination extracts.

Principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Chi
Chi is an invisible flow of energy that circulates throughout the body along defined meridians. Chi is responsible for health and well-being. Obstruction in the flow of chi leads to illness.

Yin and Yang
Traditional Chinese Medicine holds that wholeness is the unity of opposites, represented by yin and yang. Yin is passive and receptive, while yang is active and aggressive. The interaction between yin and yang keep the world in motion as night turns into day and winter leads to spring. Proper balance of yin and yang lead to well being.

The Five Elements
The creation cycle depends on the five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal and water—working together. Wood burns to feed fire. Fire’s ashes become earth. Earth gives its core to create metal. Metal causes condensation, producing water. Water nourishes plants and trees, creating wood. Ancient Chinese herbalists noticed a connection between these forces of nature and the body’s functions. Each element is associated with a body system and a pair of organs—one yin organ and one yang organ. Appropriate interaction between the partner organs leads to wholeness and health.
